We have been manufacturing car covers for all makes and models for 25+ years now. We cover saloons, hatchbacks, 4x4, estates, sports cars, classic cars and more.
We have also been manufacturing Classic Car Carpets for Austin Healey, Ford, Jaguar, Mercedes, MG, Mini, Morris, Rolls Royce, Triumph, VW and many more for 40+ years.
Product questions
- - One man job if conditions are calm, we advise another pair of hands in windy locations.
- - Find Front Label on the inside of the cover.
- - Fold the cover out along the top of the car.
- - Align the mirror pockets up first.
- - Pull most of the front of the cover down. Proceeding to smooth the cover over from front to back pulling the rear down.
- - Go around and neaten where necessary.
- - Apply underbody straps to secure the cover leaving a little slack. (You could lay straps on the floor in between your wheels and drive over them to avoid getting dirty).
- - Apply locking kit (sold separately) (eyelets provided).
- - To remove the cover, do the fitting guide in reverse.
- - Take care when removing the cover to avoid any damage.
We either recommend using warm soapy water and a sponge whilst the cover is still on the car. Or using a washing machine on a low temperature wash (30 degrees).
Make sure your washing machine is big enough as some of these covers can be very large.
Hang on a line to dry.
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY. DO NOT DRY CLEAN.
All covers come with 2 underbody securing straps, plus front, rear and side eyelets for either a locking kit or additional straps you may wish to use, allowing you to fix your cover down securely. Do not tighten the straps too much; allow a little slack. Please note in Gale Force winds we recommend removing the cover from the car
Yes you can but we strongly recommend checking the cover fortnightly as excessive moisture can build up in winter weather conditions. You can do this by lifting up the corners of the cover and if wet remove the cover and allow to dry before refitting
These are our two Indoor models. The Horizon offers good basic indoor protection. Both covers are suitable for use in garages. The Luxor is our premium cover, it has a Smart black satin finish, and it also has a very soft fleece lining. It is heavier than the Horizon offering a little more bump protection.
The Eclipse is a Heavy Duty 4 layer construction suitable for outdoor use. It offers great protection from the elements such as rain, frost, dust and dirt, tree sap, bird droppings etc.
The Galactic is our Premium cover. It is heavier and softer than our Eclipse. We also construct this cover with heat sealed double stitched seams to maximise weatherproofing. It also has our highest tear strength. Suitable for outdoor use
Yes. We offer a 1 year worldwide warranty against faulty manufacturing/ material on all products.
No. These sizes are very generic and are not specific at all to your vehicle. You will be very lucky to purchase a cover with this size guide and find something that actually fits. It is after all the reason they are so cheap. We currently have a very wide range of patterns to accommodate all vehicles.
Semi Tailored is our term for the quality of the fit. We do not offer generic sizes like the question above (small, medium and large). Nor is it tailor-made to within a couple millimetres. We take the height, width, length, shape and mirror location for each vehicle into consideration. We construct our covers with the minimal amount of seams to maximize weatherproofing and durability.
A lot of modern vehicles are now supplied with electric folding wing mirrors. We need to allow space for firstly the fit and then secondly when the car is locked the mirrors can move.
Our car covers offer great paint protection against elements such as tree sap and bird droppings. If this is a regular occurrence we do recommend cleaning regularly.
No. We advise a three month wait for oven baked paintwork. We advise at least six months for non-oven baked paint. It is fine to fit a car cover to a new car. Never fit a car cover to a car with poor paintwork /orange peel effect or cracked lacquer
This typically happens when paint isn’t applied correctly. It’s more common to classic vehicles as opposed to modern. It will literally give the paintwork the effect of the skin of an orange. We do not recommend applying a cover to a car with this at all.
To protect from the elements. UV rays in particular, as well as Bird droppings and tree sap. These elements can cause harm to your paint. In essence, the cover takes the damage, so your car doesn’t have too.
Moisture is caused by high humidity, i.e. dew rain etc. This can cause moisture to condense on the cold metalwork. As long as the cover is breathable, the moisture will evaporate when air conditions change. If the moisture underneath the cover cannot escape, this can mark the paint. A breathable car cover is the only type of cover you should be putting on your car. All of our car covers are breathable
You can, but it is not best practice. This is because the moisture will inevitably take longer to evaporate.
The materials we use for our covers are all soft and non-scratch. If you apply a car cover to a vehicle that has abrasive grit or excessive dirt then it can cause damage. Any wind or movement of the cover could create friction between the surface and the material. This is why we always recommend only placing a cover on a car when it is clean and dirt/grit free.
Unfortunately, the biggest factor that affects car covers is the ultra violet rays from the sun. It can deteriorate the cover even with good UV protection; particularly in sunny countries we recommend if at all possible keep in a shaded area
We offer a 1 year warranty on all covers however; we do expect them to last much longer than that. Depending on where you are in the world will depend on the life span of the cover. If your car is parked directly in the sun all day the likelihood is that it won’t last as long as a car parked in the shade all day.
This is a device we supply separately. Using the side eyelets provided on the cover, you can loop a PVC coated wire underneath to add security and deter thieves from possibly trying to steal your cover.
Yes. It is best practice to sweep off at the earliest convenience. The snow acts as a blocker to the breathable properties of the cover.
We cannot supply a hole in the exact spot for your aerial as these do change from time to time. The only thing we can do is supply you with a plastic eyelet. You will need to identify where the aerial is in relation to the cover and create a small incision. Attach the eyelet to the cover; you can then slide the eyelet over the aerial allowing the cover to fit.
If you haven’t got a garage to prevent frost build up then the next best solution is to purchase a car cover. This will help keep the ice off your vehicle..
